Wearehabits.com

Privacy

Habits is built so you can keep a weekly rhythm without handing your life to a cloud by default. This page describes what stays on your iPhone, and what only exists if you opt into Challenge.

Personal habits stay on the device

Habits you create for yourself — titles, notes, schedules, categories, completions, shopping lists — are stored on your iPhone. They work without an account and without the internet. We do not receive this data.

If you clear habits or delete the app, that on-device history goes with it. We cannot restore it.

Challenge is opt-in and 18+

Challenge is a shared board with friends. To create or join one you make a Habits account. You must be 18 years or older. We store:

Personal habits that are not part of a challenge are not uploaded when you sign in.

Apple Health

If you connect Apple Health, Habits reads today’s step count on the device so step goals can complete automatically. We do not upload your Health samples. For a Challenge habit with a step target, the check-in (completed, and the count used for scoring) syncs with the shared board the same way a manual tick would.

Notifications

The 7:00 PM reminder is scheduled on your iPhone. It only fires when you still have outstanding habits for today. It does not go through our servers.

Email

We send transactional mail from hello@wearehabits.com: welcome after you create an account, and challenge invites when someone adds your email to a board. You can unsubscribe from Habits emails via the link in those messages. Invites you were sent as a participant still need the in-app flow if you want to join or ignore a board.

This website

The public site at wearehabits.com is a static marketing and invite page. Invite links include a token so the iPhone app can open the right challenge. We do not run advertising trackers on this site.

Keeping it, deleting it

Log out of Challenge any time in Settings. Leave a challenge from the board. To delete your Habits account or ask what we hold for Challenge, email hello@wearehabits.com.
